ZONNIG COMMUNITIES’ FOUNDATION LIMITED is anon profit-making organization that was established and incorporated in the laws of the republic of Uganda in 2023, Its name ZONNIG originates from the Dutch word “ZONNIG”, meaning solar energy. The foundation’s operations are in lines with UN SDGs 7, 11 and 13. The foundations main objective is to Illuminate Communities and form ZONNIG model communities. It’s an extra effort to implement the UN mission of combating climate change by decarbonization of everything including those used locally at homes. The foundation is operating with financial support from the people and partners in Netherlands and with the able leadership of the Ugandan people.

To enlighten rural communities on environmental sustainability and conservation
To enlighten communities on affordable and clean energy for lighting homes, villages and communities
